About
The Space Art Competition 2026 is a creative competition conducted as part of World Space Week 2026. Participants explore space exploration through visual storytelling, imagination, artistic expression and scientific thinking.
The challenge
The topic will be revealed. The clock will start. Your imagination takes over. Participants will receive a specific topic based on the overarching theme Rocket Revolution and have exactly 120 minutes to create an original artwork.
What you need to do
Arrive prepared with permitted art materials, receive the official topic, conceptualize an original visual interpretation, create the artwork entirely during the competition and submit it within the 120-minute limit.

Key rules and safety
- The final topic will be announced on competition day.
- Participants have exactly 120 minutes after the official start signal.
- Artwork must be created entirely during the competition.
- The artwork must directly respond to the announced topic.
- Participants must bring their own permitted colours and art materials.
- The artwork must be the participant's own original creation.
- Direct copying of existing artwork, posters, photographs, illustrations or published artwork is prohibited.
- Internet images may not be directly copied.
- Pre-drawn artwork, printed images, tracing and pre-designed stencils are prohibited.
- Stickers, printed photographs, digital printing and externally prepared AI-generated images are prohibited.
- Projected tracing references and pre-painted backgrounds are prohibited.
- Participants must stop working immediately when the allotted time expires.
- Artwork must be submitted according to official instructions.
